HOW TO USE DERBY INK.
APPLY YOUR DINKS AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE PLAY TO CLEAN, DRY SKIN.
Make sure your skin is CLEAN and free of all lotions, sweat, oils or perfume. I mean SUPER CLEAN. It is helpful to cleanse the arm area with rubbing alcohol before you begin.
We supply single-number tattoo numbers to you. This keeps your overall cost low. If your derby number is made up of more than one number, make sure to space the DINKS appropriately. Plan your number location, remembering to place them where the refs can see them best. You can trim the DINK numbers paper before application for a sure fit.
Remove the plastic sheet from the number and press the it firmly onto CLEAN DRY skin. Have a friend help place your DINKS for a perfect fit. (Apply multiple DINKS ONE AT A TIME, DRYING your skin each time before you apply a number. I like to apply to one arm, then the other, back and forth until I'm done.)
Using a damp washcloth or sponge, gently press it against the DINK. The washcloth or sponge shouldn’t be too moist, if water is able to drip out when you press your washcloth or sponge against the DINK, you’ve got too much water. GENTLY massage and push the DINK paper to your skin—this will help the tattoo release from the special paper, completely adhering the number to your skin.
SLOWLY and gently, peel away the moist DINK paper. GENTLY wipe down the DINK with water to remove any sticky residue. OPTIONAL—Gently pat with face powder OR lightly brush with glitter for a custom sparkling number!
Use baby oil, nail polish remover, or rubbing alcohol to remove your DINK. Just rub with any of these three along with a paper towel, cotton ball or dry washcloth, and the DINK will wipe away. A quicker way to remove the DINK is to use clear packing tape. Cover the DINK with tape and press, then pull away!
Don’t be a wuss, DERBY GIRL! You aren’t afraid of a little tape, are ya?! ;)
